USTRANSCOM commander visits deployed service members
Gen. Duncan J. McNabb, commander, U.S. Transportation Command, greets Senior Airman Michael Dunning, 340th Expeditionary Aircraft Maintenance Unit KC-135 crew chief, Oct. 4, 2011, at an undisclosed location in Southwest Asia. McNabb’s visit was just one stop on a tour of bases throughout the U.S. Central Command Area of Responsibility to thank servicemembers for their sacrifice and dedication. USTRANSCOM is the single manager for global air, land and sea transportation for the Department of Defense. The general is scheduled to retire Nov. 30, 2011, after more than three decades of service.
