Bundling Fuel for Freedom
U.S. Army Sergeant Josh Sheptock, an 824th Quartermaster Det 7 Rigger, U.S. Army Chief Warrant Officer Hervy Tyndall, 824th QM Det 7 Commander, and U.S. Army Staff Sergeant Robert McKinney, an 824th QM Det 7 Rigger load bundles of JP-8 fuel and gasoline onto a trailer, May 27, 2009, at an undisclosed location in Southwest Asia. The fuel drums are specially packed by the riggers for the drop from a C-17 Globemaster III to forward operating locations in the U.S. Central Command's Area of Responsibility. SGT Sheptock hails from Fayetteville, N.C. and is deployed from Fort Bragg, N.C. Chief Warrant Officer Tyndall also hails from Fayetteville, N.C. and is deployed from Fort Bragg, N.C. Staff Sgt. McKinney hails from Hudson, N.C. and is deployed from the 824th Quartermaster Det 1 U.S. Army Reserve Station Charlotte, N.C.
