Anzac Day honors Royal Austalian Military Fallen Members
Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Lead Aircraftsman Mitchell Philpot and Corporal Steve Clarke, TE 633.2.2.1, raise the RAAF Ensign in honor of Australia and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC) Day, April 25, 2009, at an undisclosed location in Southwest Asia. ANZAC Day is a national day of remembrance in Australia and New Zealand to honor the members of ANZAC who fought at Gallipoli in World War I and more broadly commemorates all those who have died and served in military operations for the country. Cpl. Clarke hails from Brisbane, Australia and is deployed from Amberley base, Australia. LAC Philpot hails from Sydney, Australia and is deployed from Richmond, Australia.
