Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom, Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa
Airman 1st Class Candace Reese, a ramp controller assigned to the 8th Expeditionary Air Mobility Squadron, coordinates with foreign pilots, aircrew, and Air Force contractors to ensure the smoothest movement of a heavy equipment vehicle and 7 pallets of equipment and supplies onto a Russian Antonov 124-100 heavy lift cargo aircraft, Jan. 2, 2009, at an undisclosed air base in Southwest Asia. The Antonov will deliver a load of 7 pallets and a heavy equipment vehicle farther into the Central Command area of responsibility. The equipment and supplies are needed to support Global War on Terror operations in Afghanistan. Airman Reese is a native of St. Louis, Mo., and is deployed from Charleston Air Force Base, S.C., in support of Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom and Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa.
