Operations Iraqi Freedom, Enduring Freedom and Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa
Staff Sgt. Tyronda Summers, an aeromedical evacuation technician and Captains Tim Bougie and Bonnie Tallarita, both flight nurses assigned to the 379th Expeditionary Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron, attach C-130 litter stanchions and straps as part of setting up for an air evacuation of injured personnel Dec. 29, 2008, at an undisclosed air base in Southwest Asia. These EAES members are responsible for evacuating injured personnel from the area of responsibility and providing medical assistance until they arrive at a medical facility. Sergeant Summers, a native of Sioux City, Iowa, is deployed from Ramstein Air Base, Germany. Captain Bougie, a native of Minneapolis, Minn., is deployed from the Minnesota Air National Guard. Captain Tallarita, a native of New Richmond, Wis., is also deployed from the Minnesota Air National Guard. All are assigned to the 379th Expeditionary Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron and deployed in support of Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom and Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa.
