Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom, Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa
A maintenance team comprised of Airman 1st Class Alexander Lesch, Staff Sgt. Eric Mutschlechner and Staff Sgt. Anthony Hernandez, all assigned to the 379th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, 340th Aircraft Maintenance Unit, double check, ensuring each piece of equipment is put back into the toolbox where it is supposed to be, October 24, 2008, at an undisclosed air base in Southwest Asia. The team is cleaning up after completing a brake change on a KC-135 Stratotanker. The KC-135 provides the core aerial refueling capability for the United States Air Force and provides aerial refueling support to Navy, Marine Corps and allied nation aircraft operating in the Central Command area of responsibility. Sergeant Mutschlechner, a native of San Marcos, Texas, is deployed from MacDill Air Force Base, Fla. Sergeant Hernandez hails from Barstow, Calif., and is deployed from McConnell AFB, Kan. Airman Lesch is from Burlington, Wis., and is deployed from Grand Forks AFB, N.D. All are deployed in support of Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom and Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa.
