"Through Your Lens" Photo Contest Published July 17, 2014 379th Air Expeditionary Wing Public Affairs AL UDEID AIR BASE, QATAR -- The Grand Slam 5/6 will be sponsoring a monthly photo contest open to all current base members including: Service members, dependents, civilians, and contractors. Submissions will be judged by the public through an album on the 379th Air Expeditionary Wing Facebook page. The top five "liked" photos will then be ranked by a panel of experts based on subject, composition, photo quality, and creativity. The top three photos will run in the "Grand Slam" and each winner will receive an Army Air Force Exchange Service gift card courtesy of the Grand Slam 5/6. To submit your photograph, please read the following rules carefully: 1) If military members are the subject of your photograph, uniforms must be compliant with AFI 36-2903. Personnel must be within personal grooming standards, i.e no earrings for males out of uniform, no body piercings, etc. 2) Photos should be of good taste and uphold the Air Force core values. 3) People can only enter one photo per month and only win once during a deployment. 4) The following areas/items are off limits in all photograph submissions: restricted areas, restricted area badges, identification cards, Medical Group badges and all entry control points to include gates. 5) Photos may not include any alcohol or tobacco use. 6) Photos may be digitally enhanced as long as it is done in good taste without altering the original state of the photo. 7) Submit all imagery to the 379th Air Expeditionary Wing Public Affairs organization box at 379AEW.PA@AUAB.AFCENT.AF.MIL in the following format: email subject line should be titled with the month of the contest and "Photo Contest" (i.e July Photo Contest), digital jpeg/jpg format only and no larger than 2 MB. Any photos not in this format will be automatically disqualified. 8) All imagery must be submitted by the 20th of each month. The first deadline is August 20th.
