Congratulations to AUAB new SMSgts Published March 21, 2014 379th Air Expeditionary Wing Public Affairs AL UDEID AIR BASE, Qatar -- Of the 14,823 master sergeants eligible for promotion to senior, 999 were selected; a 6.74 percent selection rate, Air Force Personnel Center officials announced Mar. 20, 2014. Enlisted promotions are based on weighted factors including time in grade, time in service, enlisted performance reports, medals, skills knowledge tests (for staff through master sergeants) and promotion fitness exams. For senior and chief master sergeants, selection board scores are also included. The average board score was 399.95. The average score for those selected was 677.15, with an average time in grade of 4.25 years and time in service of 19 years. The average score for enlisted performance reports was 134.99. Average decorations score was 20.41, and the average promotion fitness exam score was 70.26.
