Comics lend laughs to deployed service members

SOUTHWEST ASIA --  Laughter filled the air at the 379th Air Expeditionary Wing here as four comedians took the stage during Don Barnhart's All-Star Comedy tour performance presented by Armed Forces Entertainment July 28.

Laura Hayden, Steven "Spanky" McFarlin, Sam Fedele and Jeff Capri brought their personal comedic styles telling jokes and sharing stories to the deployed service members here. Countless television appearances, "Comedian of the Year," and working alongside other prominent entertainers are just a few of the individual achievements within the group of performers.

AFE is the official Department of Defense agency for providing entertainment to U.S. military personnel overseas and hosts more than 1,200 shows around the world, reaching more than 500,000 personnel at 270 military installations annually.
