A combined change of command ceremony was held here, Jan. 27, for the 379th Expeditionary Medical Operations Squadron and the 379th Expeditionary Medical Support Squadron.

During the ceremony, Col. Stephanie Buffet assumed command of the 379th EMOS from Lt. Col. Robert Woolley, while Lt. Col. Vito Smyth assumed command of the 379th EMSS from Lt. Col. Matthew Krauchunas.

The 379th Expeditionary Medical Group commander, Col. Andrea Vinyard, who presided over the joint ceremonies, commended both Woolley and Krauchunas for their many accomplishments during their time as commanders here and welcomed Buffett and Smyth to their new commands.

Before the passing of the ceremonial guidons, Woolley and Krauchunas thanked everyone for the opportunities to serve as commanders of the 379th EMDOS and 379th EMDSS.

Wooley will return to Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam, Hawaii, where he will serve as the 15th Aerospace Medicine Squadron commander. Krauchunas will return to Charleston Air Force Base, S.C., where he will serve as the 628th Medical Support Squadron commander.
