Airmen, Qatari partners hone skills during MARE

U.S. Air Force firefighters from the 379th Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron respond to a simulated aircraft accident during a Major Accident Response Exercise, April 22, 2015, at Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar. Firemen from the 379th Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron fire protection flight were the first on scene and were tasked with putting out a fire which started in the back of the aircraft. The MARE, which is a mission assurance exercise is required by all Department of Defense Bases on an annual cycle, ensures that personnel are properly trained and proficient at responding to incidents or threats in the event of a real world occurrence.
