Airmen, Qatari partners hone skills during MARE
Airmen from the 379th Expeditionary Maintenance Group Crashed, Damaged, Disabled Aircraft Recovery Team inflate airbags under the wing of a KC-135 Stratotanker during a Major Accident Response Exercise, April 22, 2015, at Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar. The 379th EMXG CDDAR team is responsible for recovering aircraft and clearing the debris of crashed aircraft throughout the U.S. Central Command’s area of responsibility. The MARE, which is a mission assurance exercise is required by all Department of Defense Bases on an annual cycle, ensures that personnel are properly trained and proficient at responding to incidents or threats in the event of a real world occurrence.
