AUAB's first multi-use hangar opens

AL UDEID AIR BASE, QATAR --  The 379th Air Expeditionary Wing gets their first multi-use hangar at Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar. The Nov. 6 ribbon cutting ceremony marked the opening day for the hangar which service members and contractors came out to commemorate. During the ceremony Brig. Gen. Darren James, 379th Air Expeditionary Wing commander gave remarks concerning the hangar and later cut the ribbon before a KC-135 was escorted inside the hangar. Lt. Col. Claude Wilson, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers officer-in-charge, said it was a historic moment for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers who helped create the facility. The hangar will be able to support multiple aircraft at AUAB.
