  • 379 ELRS fuels the fight for VMA-214 Marines

    The 379th Expeditionary Logistics Readiness Squadron provided critical support to the to Marine Attack Squadron (VMA) 214, 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit, which enabled them to conduct hot-pit refueling. This kind of refueling allows pilots to stay in their aircraft with the engines running while ground crews supply them with fuel and perform a maintenance check before taking off for another sortie.

    To advance the agility of Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar, Airmen from the 379th Air Expeditionary Wing performed a validation and verification of the first hot refueling of a KC-135 Stratotanker in the U.S. Air Force on Sept. 21, 2020.
  • 379th ELRS provides clutch maintenance

    The 379th LRS is responsible for maintaining all the vehicles for team AUAB. This team ensures our aircraft maintainers have the heavy vehicles they need to tow aircraft, keeps the fuel and fire trucks running and work with vendors to repair leased vehicles.

    The 379th Air Expeditionary Wing is the largest expeditionary wing in the world. At the heart of the Wing is a team of Airmen with the 379th Expeditionary Logistics Readiness Squadron, Fuels Management Flight, who work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to make sure that the aircraft assigned here are receiving the “life blood” of fuel that to support operations in the U.S. Air Forces Central command area of responsibility.
