Medal of Honor winners visit 380th Air Expeditionary Wing
Retired Army Lt. Col. Alfred V. Rascon, Medal of Honor recipient, participates in the Medal of Honor Dining In with 380th Air Expeditionary Wing at a non-disclosed base in Southwest Asia on April 12, 2010. Colonel Rascon earned the Medal of Honor for actions for taken on March 16, 1966, in the Republic of Vietnam. Then a specialist fourth class, his "extraordinary valor in he face of deadly enemy fire, his heroism in rescuing the wounded, and his gallantry by repeatedly risking his own life for his fellow soldiers are in keeping with the highest traditions of military service."
