KC-10 Extender: Mission operations in Southwest Asia
A maintenance Airman from the 380th Expeditionary Aircraft Maintenance Squadron Extender aircraft maintenance unit wait to guide a KC-10 Extender assigned to the 908th Expeditionary Air Refueling Squadron of the 380th Air Expeditionary Wing out for a mission during flightline operations at a non-disclosed base in Southwest Asia. In 2009, KC-10s from the 380th AEW and the 908th EARS flew 4,760 combat sorties offl-loading 422,222,300 pounds of fuel to 31,434 aircraft.
