Symbol of Remembrance
SOUTHWEST ASIA - Canadian members of the 960th Expeditionary Airborne Air Control Squadron pause for two minutes of silence for Remembrance Day, which is celebrated Nov. 11. The red poppies they wear serve as a reminder of the blood-red flower that still grows on the former battlefields of France and Belgium. Remembrance Day is also known as Armistice Day, Poppy Day and in other countries, Veterans Day.(U.S. Air Force photo/Tech. Sgt. Charles Larkin Sr)
