Chief Master Sgt. Stephen Sullens, command chief master sergeant for Air Combat Command, and Chief Master Sgt. Scott Dearduff, command chief master sergeant for the 9th Air Force and Air Force Central Command, visited the 380th Air Expeditionary Wing to get an inside look at the mission as well as deliver a message to the Airmen here Oct. 8-9, 2009.

"I worry that could happen on a more frequent basis," said Chief Sullens, speaking about the events of Sept. 11, 2001. "It is no coincidence, that since you are over here, it is not happening back home.

"If you don't do it, who is going to?" Chief Sullens asked talking about Airmen's service to country and the 380th AEW's mission.

The 380th AEW mission, is to provide aerial refueling, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance to OPERATIONS ENDURING AND IRAQI FREEDOM.

Getting a closer look at the mission, as to know what Airmen need to make the mission happen, Chiefs Sullens and Dearduff visited several wing organizations before holding an enlisted call.

Once at the enlisted call, Chiefs Sullens and Dearduff addressed current issues with Airmen ranging from new physical training gear coming to deployed locations to upholding standards of professional Airmen.

"Police one another, in a friendly kind of way, and uphold our standards so we look like the professional fighting force we are," Chief Sullens said.

After addressing current issues the command chiefs spoke to Airmen about the importance of their contributions.

"If you were not important, we wouldn't have you here," Chief Dearduff said. "It's your job to get the mission complete and get home like the hero you are, proud to serve your country."
