The 380th Expeditionary Maintenance Group formally said good-bye to its commander in a ceremony here, June 5.

Col. Raymond Corcoran relinquished command of the unit to Col. Ricky Murphy, who arrives from Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff for Logistics, Installations and Mission Support, the Pentagon. Colonel Corcoran will return to Luke Air Force Base, Ariz. where he will serve the remaining months of his career and then retire from active duty.

"Being selected as the commander of 380th EMXG was one of the most humbling experiences of my career," said Colonel Murphy.

Colonel Murphy graduated from the Air Force Academy in 1988 and received his commission into the U.S. Air Force immediately. He has served in a variety of assignments as a transportation officer, logistics planner and aircraft maintenance officer.

Colonel Murphy will command the 380th EMXG for one year and brings his experience about what it takes to get the mission accomplished to the table.

"Accountability and compliance are cornerstones in the maintenance profession," he said. "I expect the men and women of the 380th EMXG to know their jobs and to do their jobs. Also, I expect our maintenance professionals to produce the right result every time through compliance with technical orders and AFIs."
