  • 380 AEW AWACS provide the big picture to combatant commanders

    Imagine a pilot flying their aircraft in theater. While the pilot has onboard sensors downloading, processing, and providing a lot of information during the flight, their systems have limited range. Staff Sgt. Joshua Payne, 968th Expeditionary Airborne Air Control Squadron senior surveillance technician, works within a crew that regularly reaches more than 20, each having their own specific purpose on a very technical level. Their role is to help the pilot expand this limited scope of data, and enable mission effectiveness.
  • ADAB Fitness Center helps Airmen reach their fitness goals

    The ADAB Fitness Center has events scheduled daily to include various classes, intramural sports, fun runs, as well as challenges and contests to spark the competitive spirit across the base. T-shirts are handed out upon completion of some of the competitions and 5K runs, giving more than just bragging rights to those who want to show off their accomplishments. “It’s an incentive program to allow Airmen to better themselves, to better the mission,” said Master Sgt.
