Coalition commemorates ANZAC Day 2019
Representatives of Australia and New Zealand stand vigil during an ANZAC Day dawn service at Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar, commemorating the service of Australian and New Zealand service members past, present and future, April 25, 2019. Wreaths were laid by representatives of Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and Turkey, all nations who participated in the Battle of Gallipoli. ANZAC Day is a national day of remembrance for both Australia and New Zealand, and is celebrated annually on April 25 as it marks the anniversary of the landing at Gallipoli by Australia and New Zealand forces during World War I.
