48-star flag flies in tribute to D-Day
A 48-star U.S. flag rests on a toolbox June 6, 2019, at Al Dhafra Air Base, United Arab Emirates. The flag is a three-generation family heirloom of Tech. Sgt. Kenneth Peterson, 380th Expeditionary Aircraft Maintenance Squadron F-35A Lightning II crew chief, who had it flown on a mission in honor of the 75th Anniversary of D-Day.
