Fueling the force; AASAB Airman collect fuel samples
U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Paige Borrego, 386th Expeditionary Logistics Readiness Squadron fuels laboratory NCOIC, uses a atg-8 flash point tester to determine the temperature at which flammability occurs in a fuel sample at Ali Al Salem Air Base, Kuwait, March 2, 2023. Quality assurance procedures are carried out daily to ensure that the base fuel supply is up to aircraft standards. Having contaminated fuel is the same as having no fuel, therefore these procedures are integral to maintaining combat readiness. (U.S. Air Force photo by Senior Airman Devan Halstead)
