Col Christopher M. Hagemeyer serves as the 380th AEW Deputy Commander at Al Dhafra AB, UAE. Additionally, he maintains command of the 96th Mission Support Group, Eglin Air Force Base, Florida, leading over 2,200 military, civilian, and contractor personnel across four squadrons including Logistics Readiness, Security Forces, Communications, and Force Support. He provides support to the largest Air Force installation consisting of 726 square miles, 153 miles of coastline, with over 20,000 military and civilian personnel, along with a population of 60,000 dependents and retirees.
The Colonel entered the Air Force in through ROTC at Norwich University. He was assigned as a Security Forces Officer and has held all required 31P developmental positions, has commanded three times at the Squadron level, with an additional 7-month deployed command at Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan, and served as the Deputy Group Commander of the 820th Base Defense Group. Outside of his Security Forces assignments, he was an Exchange Training Officer with the Royal Air Force (RAF) Regiment, has conducted a joint tour at USCENTCOM serving a Political-Military Affairs (AFSC 16P) tour, and was also selected to serve as the USCENTCOM Air Force Element Section Commander. Lastly, he was a MAJCOM level Division Chief within AFSOC A4, Headquarters AFSOC.
