Chief Master Sergeant Megan L. Metzger

Chief Master Sergeant

Megan L. Metzger is the Command Chief of the 380th Air Expeditionary Wing, Al Dhafra Air Base, United Arab Emirates. Chief Metzger is Senior Enlisted Advisor to the Wing Commander on all matters affecting readiness, training, health, welfare, morale, quality of life, and the professional development of more than 1,800 assigned joint warfighters. The wing executes strategic mission sets, encompassing Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance, Command and Control reporting center assets, and Theater Security Cooperation and Agile Combat Employment/Dynamic Force Employment missions in direct support of 9th Air Force and U.S. Central Command priorities.

Chief Metzger enlisted into the Air Force, Air National Guard component, in January 2002. She joined the Guard unit in her hometown of Springfield, Illinois. After completing Basic Military Training and Technical Training School, in October 2002, she returned to her unit, the 183rd Fighter Wing, and immediately started working in a full-time status.
