Colonel Joshua J. Imme is the Deputy Commander, 386th Air Expeditionary Wing. The wing is comprised of over 3,700 Airmen, coalition, and joint partners at two geographically separated locations and it provides air mobility, precision strike, personnel recovery, electronic attack, logistics operations, and intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance assets in support of operations throughout the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility.
Col. Imme entered the Air Force in May 2000 through the United States Air Force Academy. He has served in various leadership positions at the Squadron, Group, and Wing level. He is a C-130J command pilot and led crews in support of Operations ENDURING FREEDOM and IRAQI FREEDOM. He supported humanitarian and aeromedical evacuation missions in the Pacific and the United States. He served as a C-130 Weapons Officer and deployed as the Chief of Safety in support of Operation INHERENT RESOLVE. Prior to his current position he was the Senior U.S. Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) Liaison Officer to U.S. European Command (USEUCOM), Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE) and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).
