This week’s Rock Solid Warrior is Tech. Sgt. Ian Beyerle, hydraulic craftsman with the 386th Expeditionary Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, deployed from the 123rd Maintenance Squadron, Louisville, Kentucky.

What is your current job title and unit?

My current job title is hydraulic craftsman with the 386th Expeditionary Aircraft Maintenance Squadron.

Which squadron and base are you deployed from?

I am deployed from the 123rd Maintenance Squadron, Louisville, Kentucky.

Why did you join the Air Force?

I joined the U.S. Air Force to better myself and my country.

How is your deployed unit/job different from your home unit/job?

The difference between my job at home station compared to my deployed unit is the pace is quicker in a deployed location.

What are some of your professional and personal goals?

Currently my professional goal is to complete my NCOA PME.

What is your favorite part of your mission here?

My favorite part of the mission is working with my counter parts from other Air National Guard wing’s.
What are some of your hobbies?

My hobbies are hunting, fishing, and camping.

What are some of the challenges you face here? How do you overcome them?

The challenge I face here is learning how to properly deal with stress. To deal with stress I work out and take breaks when I need one.
