Lengyel, National Guard Bureau chief, visits Airmen from the 386th Expeditionary Logistics Readiness Squadron at Ali Al Salem Air Base, Kuwait, Nov. 27, 2019. Lengyel serves as a member of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, is a military adviser to the President, Secretary of Defense, National Security Council and is the DOD's official channel of communication to the Governors and State Adjutants General on all matters pertaining to the National Guard.
