The 407th Expeditionary Operations Support Squadron had its name changed to the 386th EOSS during a re-designation and change of command ceremony, June 2, 2023, at Ali Al Salem Air Base, Kuwait. The re-designation came on the heels of a force reconfiguration, which ultimately dissolved the 407th Air Expeditionary Group and sought to realign the EOSS with the 386th Air Expeditionary Wing. The newly-designated 386 EOSS will retain all prior tenants of the 407th EOSS mission sets, and will now be known as the Scorpions.
