386th EOSS weather flight enhances operational readiness Dec. 28, 2024

U.S. CENTRAL COMMAND AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY--The 386th Expeditionary Operations Support Squadron weather flight is critical to executing the 386th Air Expeditionary Wing's mission. By providing data on wind, temperature, and visibility, the 386th EOSS weather flight's critical meteorological support ensures safe takeoffs and landings, contributing to overall mission success and safety for air and ground operations.

They leverage a plethora of special techniques and tools, such as charts, compasses, and computers to provide timely, accurate and relevant information to mitigate limited access to weather data and constant changes. By working closely with flight crews, key mission partners and other weather teams in the region, they make sure everyone has the required information they need to execute the mission.
