The Air Forces Central Command Band "Total Force" performed at a school for special needs children and adults here Jan 6.

The school cares for more than 200 children and adults from six years to 24 years in age.

During the performance, members of the band interacted with the students and took their instruments around the crowd so they could have a chance to play the instrument while some of the children and adults danced to a few songs at the stage.

"I think it is one of the best things on earth you can do, nothing can give a person more joy than to make little kids like that smile," said Staff Sgt. Joshua Byrd, Total Force guitarist.

Tech Sgt. Steven Moore, Total Force audio technician stated it was great to see how receptive the students were to the music and how much they enjoyed it

"It was really touching, it definitely made me think of my kids and family back home," said Moore.

Total Force plays a wide variety of songs from different genres and eras to reach diverse audiences. The band is travelling throughout the AOR to positively promote troop morale, diplomacy and outreach to host nation communities.
