SOUTHWEST ASIA – Fifty-seven military service members gathered to participate in the 26.2 mile test of endurance for the U.S. Marine Corps Marathon Forward here Oct. 28. The first Marine Corps Marathon Forward ever held in this deployed location was six months in the making, requiring more than 150 volunteers from four different military bases. SOUTHWEST ASIA – More than 150 service members from four different military bases volunteered to participate in the first Marine Corps Marathon Forward here Oct. 28. The volunteers were stationed throughout the course to hand out water and snacks to the runners. The colored bracelets were given to each racer each lap they completed.
