387th Air Expeditionary Group change of command

SOUTHWEST ASIA --  The 387th Air Expeditionary Group conducted a change of command ceremony here June 27, when Col. Scott DeThomas relinquished command to Col. Charles Schlegel.

Col. Michael Zick, 386th Air Expeditionary Wing commander, officiated the event.

Today we recognize the accomplishments of Colonel Scott DeThomas and his band of tigers and welcome his replacement, Colonel Charles "Doc" schlagel - two great Americans, two great warriors and two great leaders," Zick said. "Doc - you have some mightly large boots to fill but I know you are more than up to the task and will take the 387th and her tigers to new heights."

Schlegel joins the Marauder team as a graduate of the Army War College, Carlisle Barracks, Pa.
