CSAF gives view on current, future Air Force to 386th AEW Marauders

Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. Norton Schwartz visited the men and women of the 386th Air Expeditionary Wing April 21 during a trip through the Central Command area of responsibility.

The general toured facilities, shook a lot of hands and made sure all of his Marauders - Airmen and civilian personnel alike - knew what was going on in the U.S. Air Force right now, as well as where the military was heading in the future.

"The Total Force concept is even more important now than it has ever been," Schwartz said. "Active duty, Reserve and Guard members are doing even more than they ever have in the past as they work together every day to ensure the mission is completed. This is especially important because the military as we know it is changing, and we have to change with it to meet every potential challenge.

"I know that there is uncertainty, and what was true in the past might not be feasible in the future," he said. "But stay strong and take care of each other; that is what we do as Wingmen, and I and my wife Suzie are very, very proud of you."
