How many times have you deployed and what makes this deployment unique?
This is my second deployment. It's unique because I was originally deployed to be Force Protection but was asked to supplement the Protocol Office due to the Iraqi draw down. It's very unlikely that I would have had the chance to work a protocol job at another other point in my career. It has exposed me to invaluable one-on-one mentorship from senior NCO's and officers that otherwise would have been far less abundant for me. For that I am very grateful.

How does your job differ in a deployed environment vs. home base? See answer above. At home station I am a 2S (supply) and here I am protocol which is typically a services tasking. Very little about my job here is the same as my home station job.
