This is my first deployment and it's definitely a different experience. I love being here because I get a chance to learn from some great people. We may not be on the front line, but we are certainly making a difference How does your job differ in a deployed environment vs. home base? At my home base I work at the Family Health clinic where a lot of medics are limited to what they can perform. Here I have more responsibility and perform a list of different duties. For example, I help work the laboratory, X-ray, and perform several minor procedures. I also respond to 911 calls here and perform pre-hospital care before arriving to the EMEDS. Medics in the Air Force are known for being the jack of all trades and we get to show it here!
