How many times have you deployed and what makes this deployment unique?
This is my second deployment, this deployment is different because it has given me a deeper look into tow critical career fields in our Air Force...Personnel (tracking Air Force members) and Logistics (movement of planes). Being medical, it is not often that we get to peek into other sides of the Air Force. Plus it's given me plenty of opportunities to explain that the Medical Group is more than a call line and Motrin.

How does your job differ in a deployed environment vs. home base?
At this location, as an LNO my job is taking care of people by making sure they get the right deployed location at the right time...and making sure people get home once their mission is complete. At McConnell AFB, as a pharmacy technician, my job is to make sure people get the proper medication to ensure they have the health and strength to carry out the mission. No matter the duty title, essentially my job is the same in both arenas: Taking care of the Air Forces most valuable asset....AIRMAN.
