Rock Solid Warrior: Tech Sgt. Trina Griggs Published April 8, 2011 SOUTHWEST ASIA -- The 386th Air Expeditionary Wing's Rock Solid Warrior for this week comes from the 386th Expeditionary Medical Group. Name: Tech. Sgt. Trina Griggs Unit: 386th Expeditionary Medical Group Duty Title: Aero-medical Evacuation Technician Home unit/station: 72nd Medical Support Squadron, Tinker Air Force Base, Okla. How do you support the mission here? I coordinate patient movement inter/intra theater and all patient movement within the country. I dispatch needed medical assets during 911 calls and in-flight emergencies. Favorite Movie: Despicable Me Favorite Restaurant: Zio's (Italian Restaurant in Oklahoma City) Favorite Superhero: Not a superhero fan Place you would most like to vacation to or visit: I would love to visit Italy How many times have you deployed and what makes this deployment unique? This is actually my first deployment, I am dual military and I am usually the one that stays behind and looks after the kids. I know now, that it is physically harder to be the one left behind but it is emotionally harder to be the one who has to leave. Favorite Actor/Actress: Julia Stiles Favorite food: Bacon Favorite musical group/musician/singer: Bruno Mars How does your job differ in a deployed environment vs. home base? At home station I am the NCOIC of the Orderly Room, so I do not deal with patients every day. Here it's all about patient care and patient movement. I definitely feel like I have a sense of purpose here.
