386th ELRS' Nelson named Rock Top III's Unsung Warrior in Airman category

SOUTHWEST ASIA -- The 386th Air Expeditionary Wing's Rock Top III organization recognized its March Unsung Warrior award winner in the Airman category April 6.

Staff Sgt. Daniel Nelson was recognized as the winner of the wing-wide accolade, which is awarded monthly to Marauders in two categories from ranks ranging from airman basic to technical sergeant.

Sergeant Nelson was promoted to staff sergeant April 1 and won the award for his accomplishments as a senior airman with the 386th Expeditionary Logistics Readiness Squadron February 15-March 15. Sergeant Nelson works in the aircraft parts supply department.

To qualify for the award, nominees must "genuinely inspire and contribute to the improvement of customer service, quality of life and the overall mission" at the 386th.

Master Sgt. Robert Mills, vice president of The Rock Top III, presented the award to Sergeant Nelson in front of his 386th ELRS cohorts during an official ceremony.
