386th names monthly award winners for March

SOUTHWEST ASIA --  The 386th Air Expeditionary Wing honored its superior performers April 1 at the monthly wing award ceremony held at the base's auditorium.

The top Marauders were picked from a catalog of gifted, hard working nominees who exhibited aptitude and toil above even lofty expectations.

The winner for 386th Airman of the Month was Senior Airman Antonio M. Tirado, a member of the 386th Expeditionary Mission Support Group. The wing's Noncommissioned Officer of the Month winner was Staff Sgt. Thomas L. Hinton of the 386th Expeditionary Maintenance Group.

The 387th Air Expeditionary Group's Master Sgt. Roger C. Dawson took home the wing's Senior NCO of the Month award. Capt. Mark T. Heffelfinger, also of the 387th AEG, was named the Company Grade Officer of the Month.

The wing's Team of the Month was the 386th AEW's Public Affairs Office, comprised of Tech Sgt. Sandra Bradley, Staff Sgt. Patrice Clarke, Senior Airman Cynthia Spalding and Capt. Heath Allen.

The wing's Honor Guardsman of the Month was Airman First Class Daniel R. Middaugh of the 386th Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron.

The nominees for Airman of the Month along with Airman Tirado were Senior Airman Stephany M. Hixenbaugh, 386th AEW; Airman First Class Ryan E. Bertucci, 386th Expeditionary Operations Group; David J. Chavez, 386th EMXG; Senior Airman Guillermo F. Estrada, 386th EMDG; and Senior Airman Melissa M. Perry, 387th AEG.

Along with Sergeant Hinton, the nominees for NCO of the Month were Sean A. Collins, 386th AEW; Landru D. Medvec, 386th EOG; Staff Sgt. Elisa D. Panek, 386th EMSG; Tech Sgt. Walter A. Booker, 386th EMDG; and Staff Sgt. Daniel Norris, 387th AEG.

The nominees for Senior NCO of the month along with Sergeant Dawson were Master Sgt. Caleb L. Gibson, 386th AEW; Master Sgt. Justin D. Kay, 386th EOG; Master Sgt. Michael P.L. Sweeney, 386th EMXG; and Senior Master Sgt. Theresa A. Woznicki, 386th EMSG.

Along with Capt. Heffelfinger, the nominees for CGO of the Month were Capt. Kenya M. Thomas, 386th AEW; Capt. Thomas A. Sanders, 386th EOG; Capt. Edward Romero, 386th EMXG; 1st Lt. Carissa D. McDaniel, 386th EMSG; and Capt. Laura A. Nichols, 386th EMDG.

The nominees for Honor Guardsman of the Month along with Airman Middaugh were Staff Sgt. Meghan J. Kalina, 817th Expeditionary Airlift Squadron; and Tech Sgt. John R. Mason, 5th Expeditionary Air Mobility Squadron.

Along with 386th Public Affairs the nominees for Team of the Month were the 737th Expeditionary Airlift Squadron Crew 3; 386th Expeditionary Aircraft Maintenance Squadron Blue Electrical and Environmental Shop; 386th Expeditionary Logistics Readiness Squadron Theater Distribution Center; 386th EMDG Nursing and Technician Services; and the 387th Expeditionary Support Squadron R5 Theater Gateway Inbound Section.
