Rock Solid Warrior:Tech Sgt. Brannon Taylor Published Dec. 6, 2010 SOUTHWEST ASIA -- This week's 386th Air Expeditionary Wing Rock Solid Warrior comes from the 386th Expeditionary Logistics Readiness Squadron. Name: Tech Sgt. Brannon Taylor Unit: 386th Expeditionary Logistics Readiness Squadron Job: NCOIC, Passenger Travel Home station: 56th Logistics Readiness Squadron; Luke Air Force Base, Ariz. How do you support the mission here? I manage the office that arranges travel for all redeploying Air Force personnel, including Airmen traveling on emergency leave; temporary-duty and permanent-party personnel assigned to the 386th Air Expeditionary Wing and tenant units; and anyone else who passes through our base and needs commercial travel. How many times have you deployed and what makes this deployment unique? This is my fourth deployment, but it's the first time I've been based at the 386th or assigned to manage a duty section. What makes this deployment unique is the huge number of Air Force personnel who transit our base every day. It gives me the opportunity to meet and support Airmen-warriors who come from many backgrounds in our Air Force. How does your job differ in a deployed environment vs. home base? At home station, I mainly serve active-duty Airmen from Luke. Here, I supervise three elite and professional Traffic Management personnel who are responsible for arranging travel for wing personnel, tenant units and other units in the U.S. Central Command Area of Responsibility. These Airmen come from bases throughout the Air Force and represent every component of the service, from the active duty to Guard and Reserve. Every day, I meet a myriad of Airmen who each share a story.
