Rock Solid Warrior: Staff Sgt. Brian Griffith Published Nov. 4, 2010 SOUTHWEST ASIA -- This week's 386th Air Expeditionary Wing Rock Solid Warrior comes from the 386th Expeditionary Operations Support Squadron. Name: Staff Sgt. Brian Griffith Unit: 386th Expeditionary Operations Support Squadron Job: Knowledge operations manager Home unit: 87th Mission Support Group; Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, N.J. How do you support the mission here? I oversee administrative processes within the EOSS. I gather data, prepare reports, review Operational Instructions and Memorandum for Records to ensure accuracy and completion. I also work directly with squadron leadership to ensure that timely and accurate decisions are made regarding issues related to the support of air operations. How many times have you deployed and what makes this deployment unique? This is my first deployment, which, in itself, makes it unique. Having the opportunity to see operations from a deployed location compared to normal everyday operations back home is truly remarkable. I come from a mission-support background, so working in operations has definitely been an eye-opening experience, showcasing everything the Air Force is capable of.
