I'm responsible for billeting and the accountability of all transient and permanent party personnel at this undisclosed location in Southwest Asia. How many times have you deployed and what makes this deployment unique? I've deployed seven times and the most unique and morale boosting thing for me so far is having wireless in our rooms. How does your job differ in a deployed environment vs. home base? It is a much faster tempo, and I'm working a different position then what I would normally work at my base. You have a whole new appreciation for your job. Customer service is the most important part of our job at lodging. Providing it at a deployed location, you realize that you may be the last person that this individual may see. You want to provide quality service no matter where you are located, but I tend to put forth an extra effort at a deployed site.
