Eugenio Prado Duty Title: Operations and training NCOIC Home unit: 62nd SFS, McChord Air Force Base, Wash. How do you support the mission here? I serve as the group's senior representative to the 386th Air Expeditionary Wing Exercise and Evaluation Team, contributing to emergency responder preparedness. I also conducted an 80-hour security enhancement training course with host nation security entities. The course resulted in the education of 42 host nation air force and ministry of defense personnel, boosting international relationships and increasing overall readiness for host nation installations. I send out blotters to inform leadership about criminal and safety incidents and I perform various other support work. How many times have you deployed and what makes this one unique? This is my seventh deployment and thus far, it has been an amazing and rewarding experience! How does your job differ in a deployed environment vs. home base? The challenges. Getting up every morning to tackle a new experience and learning a different job. My responsibilities here are entirely different from my home base job. The career progression never stops and limitations are never an option. It's rewarding knowing that I provide a crucial security measure at this deployed location vital to mission success.
