Home unit: 88th Medical Group, Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio 

How do you support the mission here? My mission here is to provide medical care to wounded Soldiers coming from anywhere in the AOR, stabilize them and transport them to a further echelon of care. 

How many times have you deployed and what makes this one unique? Technically, I have deployed twice before, but they were both in stateside deployments to Andrews Air Force Base doing the same job as a CASF member. This deployment is unique because I'm actually deployed in the AOR. 

How does your job differ in a deployed environment vs. home base? I work in the ER back home, providing emergent medical care to patients. The medical care we provide here is a little different simply because we are dealing with different types of patients who have been stabilized, our mission is to monitor them temporarily and send them to their next destination for further medical care.
