Just how hot is it?
SOUTHWEST ASIA -- Staff Sgt. Stacy Vandenwyngaard, 386th Expeditionary Operations Support Squadron, adds distilled water to the heat stress monitor to ensure accurate Wet Bulb Globe temperature readings. The Wet Bulb Globe Temperature is a composite temperature used to estimate the effect of temperature, humidity, wind speed and solar radiation on humans, determining the heat stress category used for work/rest cycles.
