ROCK SOLID WARRIOR Published April 3, 2009 386th Expeditionary Logistics Readiness Squadron SOUTHWEST ASIA -- Senior Airman Christopher Jennings Job: MHE Journeyman Home unit: 43rd Logistics Readiness Squadron, Pope Air Force Base, N.C. How do you support the mission here? Provide maintenance and logistical support for 60K Aircraft Loaders and NGSLs (Next Generation S Loaders) to power the 386th Expeditionary Logistics Readiness Squadron Aerial Port mission. My section also works on fire trucks and refuelers, and we have a direct daily impact on the entire wing. How many times have you deployed and what makes this one unique? This is my fourth deployment. This deployment is unique because I have never been at a hub in direct support of the tactical airlift mission. However, I handle business the same way wherever I am - give me a wrench and I'm on the job! The vehicle fleet demands a lot of attention both from a maintenance standpoint and through operator care. How does your job differ in a deployed environment vs. home base? The mission is different altogether, but the job I perform is always the same with the exception of locale. I take serious pride in the job that I do, and I produce a quality product for our customers. ELRS lives by "TMD" which stands for Teamwork, Making it Better and Do Your Job... all of which I do!
