ROCK SOLID WARRIOR Published Sept. 30, 2008 387th Expeditionary Security Forces Squadron SOUTHWEST ASIA -- Staff Sgt. Corey Dantzler S4S Supply non-commissioned officer in charge Home unit/base: 325th Security Forces Squadron, Tyndall Air Force Base, Panama City, Fla. How do you support the mission here? I order and receive all the squadron's supplies and I manage the unit's vehicle fleet. Additionally, I am the 387th ESFS communications and computer accounts custodian. How many times have you deployed and what makes this one unique? I have been deployed seven times. This one is unique because I have never had a greater responsibility than I do here. How does your job differ in a deployed environment vs. home base? At Tyndall, I am a flight chief, which is also is a very demanding and high ops tempo position. The difference between my current job and being a flight chief is that I live and work in proximity to other group and wing units. Furthermore, at home station I'm responsible for a 30-person flight, whereas here I am responsible for the entire needs of the 133-person unit. The responsibly of being in charge of the entire supply and equipment needs of the squadron that are required to sustain the fight in the War on Terrorism is an incredible task, but I'm honored to have this opportunity.
