ROCK SOLID WARRIOR Published July 16, 2008 586th Expeditionary Security Forces Squadron SOUTHWEST ASIA -- Senior Airman Tylor Evans Badging and Vetting Program administrator Home unit/base: 509th Security Forces Squadron, Whiteman Air Force Base, Mo. How do you support the mission here? I am the third country national/local national (TCN/LN) program administrator, directly responsible for processing over 600 TCN and LN employees, an instrumental piece to Camp Bucca's mission. I also developed and streamlined the issuance process of over 150 badges to Iraqi Correction Officer trainees while maintaining strict vetting criteria, ensuring unsavory applicants were exposed. How many times have you deployed and what makes this one unique? This is my first deployment. This deployment is very unique because of the tasks and challenges each day help refine my organizational leadership skills. How does your job differ in a deployed environment vs. home base? At home, this job is done by civilian government services personnel. I provide security to priority resources at my home station, and we don't work with the Army either. Doing this job in a deployed location is critical to winning the Global War on Terrorism. I communicate with TCNs and LNs on a daily basis, providing them privileges and access to key areas on Camp Bucca.
