Noe Andrade NCO in charge of a dining facility Home unit/base: 43rd Services Squadron, Pope Air Force Base, N.C. How do you support the mission here? I manage a military dining facility and oversee the fitness and recreation center. We support approximately 300 personnel daily; ensuring the food service contract meets public health guidelines. Also, we perform quality assurance personnel duties. How many times have you deployed and what makes this one unique? This is my third time. This deployment is unique because it is the first time I have deployed as an NCO and allotted the opportunity to be in charge of a facility. This experience allows me the opportunity to apply my combat warrior skills and ensure the mission is completed. How does your job differ in a deployed environment vs. home base? They really do not differ, the mission remains the same therefore the job is just as important! The only thing is being away from family and the chance to play some golf.
