How do you support the mission here? I support the mission by performing security duties such as entry control security patrols and working the search pit. I've also done security escort missions for personnel coming into and departing the deployed theater. How many times have you deployed and what makes this one unique? This is my first deployment and the opportunities people have for off-base travel makes it unique for me. How does your job differ in a deployed environment vs. home base? Here, we patrol off-base and there aren't local law enforcement patrols like you're used to having in the states. We also carry a wider array of weapons since the force protection conditions are at a higher level here and the procedures are different.
